Teflon is actually a brand name for the compound “Polytetrafluoroethylene” (PTFE), a synthetic fluoropolymer. Teflon is non-stick and non-reactive to reactive and corrosive chemicals. Adhesive Teflon tape is mainly used to assist with the sealing of plastic bags on Impulse & L Bar sealers. It can also be used in applications where you required a highly slippery surface.
